Big Duck Pond

We went to the big duck ponds this weekend. The peeps haven't been here for nearly 10 years so having to pay for the carpark was a big of a shock, it used to be free. Shows how times change eh ?
Now stop moaning and lets go........

Gosh that water is so clear

Along the yellow brick road to...

Uh Oh, that very big Mr Duckie is heading my way

That was a close shave, need a sit down to recover from that, phew!

Come on, keep up, over here...

Look, they's very big ducks, called sailing boats apparently

I wasn't allowed off my lead much due to a duck chasing incident with a previous paws

Get the idea ?

Need my puppicino after that.
What !?!
Puppicino machine's broken I have to have tea.

Well, we still had a great day

Loves and licky kisses

  2. Princess Leah ohhhh you did a good job keeping those ducks in a row. Mom told me ducks are a ok but sometimes geese and swans are kinda of ornery..so watch out for them!! Mom made some cranberry orange scones yesterday she and Dad will have them with their afternoon tea.

  3. No worries we have to stay on the leash too when we are near ponds for exactly that reason. Ruins all the fun. Have a marvellous Monday.
    Best wishes Molly

  4. it's a great place, even when the carpark is no longer for free. do you know if the big sailing ducks are edible? I found a cool recipe for roasted ducks, but I'm afraid I need a bigger oven, huh?

  8. We think it is FINE that you kept your peeps on the Walkin String... They DO tend to Dawdle and Stray. You would not want one of yours to get FLOGGED by one of those BIG BIRDS... It was a LOVELY place fur a nice walk... Sorry you didn't get a Puppicino though.

  14. Wow nice park you have there. I hope you got in some good barking at the ducks. Never had hot tea, here in the South we love our sweet ice tea.

  15. That duck pond is HUGE. And what crazy ducks! We would have been barking like mad at them. We saw off some kayakers who were using OUR river the other day. No one uses OUR stretch of the river, without our permission.

Can't believe the pupaccino machine wasn't working!

  23. Those ducks did look fun for the chasing, but I can see why your Peeps didn't want you to go in the water. Hope you enjoyed your tea :)
