I thought I'd tell you a tail from my previous Chatters-A-Way House visit

RECONSTRUCTION

Here's Aunty Freya and I setting the scene for you

As I walked alone the pathway I spotted an icey cream that someone had dropped

There wasn't time to eat it straight away, no problem,I knew where it was and

planned to slurp in on the way back

Butts on the way back look what I saw.....

Yep, Mr Fox, snaffling MY icey cream!!!!

The cheek!!!!

I sulked ....alot!!!!!!

Whoops Wednesday

On the bed at Chatsworth with my pheasant

Butt, don't tell anyone 'cos dogs aren't allowed in the bedrooms

and

I don't want to be accused of poaching!

Mind you, the chair was rather comfy as well 

and
 we certainly won't mention the chest of drawers!!!!

The Money Seat

It's made entirely of coins!

Busy Day in the Gardens

Okay, we've got a busy day in the gardens so best you have a good breakfast

Yep, bacon buttie and puppicino should do it!

I had a long chat with the ducks and they told me all about the waterworks.

See a very clever peep designed the water so that it starts here...

with the ducks

Flows to here

 

then via a duck

over a viaduct

 Into here ....

Look at the view!

Down the cascade to the BIG house

The cascade is pawfect for cooling your paws on a hot day

Every step has a different number or shaped rise

so the water sound different at each level

Clevers eh?

And then it comes out here at the Emperor Fountain

And what's really clevers is...

It's all done by GRAVITY!!!!

I can't recommend drinking the water though..

Look what it's done to the bunny rabbits

Scary!!!

The Gardens

It's hard to pick just a few pictures of the glorious park around

Chatters-A-Way House

but I've tried to chose some I hope you'll like

This lovely Summer House overlooks the Grotto Pond 

(silly name for such a beautiful spot!)

It was built for Georgiana Spencer

 (yes relative of our Diana Spencer who became Princess Diana) 

Georgiana married the Duke of Devonshire

The film 'The Duchess' starring Kiera Knightley

was about her

 Everywhere you look there's something amazing to look at

We found this waterfall ...called 'Quebec'

 This lady didn't have much to say for herself!

Or maybe you prefer more modern art?

(and yes, that is me, I did clamber on it...

can't you hear the peeps shouting at me!)

And this view...sundowner point...

This is where the peeps watched the sun go down in the evening

What a view!

Can you see the church it the distance?

That's in Edensor, where Kathleen (Kick) Kennedy is buried

The Queen, Princess Leah and Prince Charles 

Apparently I'm not supposed to stick my tongue out at Prince Charles!

Aunty Freya

I had the bestest  visitor at MY Tower

Yes, I got to meet my Aunty Freya in the FURS!!!!

We were firm friends straight away

Patrolling OUR Tower together

We had so much to catch up on 

I suggested we had a chat and a puppicino

Then it was off exploring

"Now this is called 'rock climbing' young pup"

"Like this Aunty Freya?"

"Well done young pup.

Now lets see what else we can find..."

We had the bestest of times together

MY Tower

 Welcome to MY Tower

This is MINE fur a whole week

 Come on inside my PRIVATE Tower

 It may be medieval but its still has all the comforts of home

And I'm not the only Royalty that enjoys staying here

See, Prince William stayed here as well!

Wonder if he got these canon thingys to work???

 Must be all that fresh air making me sleepy!
