During my walkies in the woods I found this pond
This fella lives there
The Great Crested Newt
I didn't see one but there was this Notice.
Mr Newt is the largest and least common in the UK
and would doggies not swim in the pond and disturb him
Are you serious!!!!
Look at the state of THAT!!!!
Nope, you can keep your pond Mr Newt,
I'm not getting my paws wet in there!!!!!
Aha, now this is more like it

Don't think you want to mess with Mr. Newt, for sure. That pond looks a little yucky anyway.. But that table full of food sure looks good. You are such a good girl not to dig into that food. You all have a great day.
ReplyDeleteYeah, let Mr. Newt live his life. Yurs is much better. Jus' lookit yur picnic table spread!
ReplyDeleteA picnic lunch just for you! Your family is the best.

Oh I love your picnic!!
ReplyDeleteWe are happy that you did not go into the NEWT pond... and that you had a super PICNIC instead...
ReplyDeleteEWWW I would nevers swim in that either, mostly cos we would sink like rocks, us pugs are not good swimmers, your lunch looked really swell though.

we agree - mr newt can keep his pond - but that picnic - we would be happy to share
ReplyDeleteWe totally agree that a nice picnic is much better than getting all wet in that pond!!

That newton thing is nutty
ReplyDeleteLily & Edward
Good idea, Leah - go to the beach instead:)
ReplyDeleteWoos - Cara and Lightning
Just say no to newts!
ReplyDeleteYou are the one and only princess.
ReplyDeleteKisses and hugs from your Casper.
Yea good choice there Leah - if you got in that pond then you would have had to have a bath later!
ReplyDeletehug
Mr Bailey, Hazel & Mabel
We think you would be better off keeping out of the pond anyway, looks like a prelude to a dreaded bath.
ReplyDeleteDip and Elliot x
Yes, you look very natural at the table and no one would be disturbed!
ReplyDeleteYour Pals,
Murphy & Stanley
He's a scary lookin' thing. We'd stay away from him. We get little skinks that skitter across our bricks, but they're very quick.....
ReplyDeleteYou have a much better life than Mr Newt in his pond, Leah. That's for sure!
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots♥
Mitch and Molly
That did look a bit un-princessly for a pond. Leave it for the newts. They're kind of interesting, though. Hope you got some of those yum yums on the picnic table.
ReplyDeleteNow da newts are tryin to tell us what to do?? What da woof?
ReplyDeleteOMD you found the Loch Ness monster!
ReplyDeleteAroo to you,
Sully
Wow....that crested newt guy is actually kind of scary looking...
ReplyDelete*Blush* we're almost too embarrassed to admit this butt we didn't know that newts still existed...AND to make matter worse, we thought it was a small, insect-like thingy *GASP* we are SO uneducated!!!
ReplyDeleteWe totally support your decision re: that pond Princess - between the sludge and the not-so-handsome Mr Newt, we wouldn't set paw in there either!
Wally & Sammy
Wowzers, does that look cool! I wouldn't be surprised to see the Loch Ness Monster or Godzilla or someone in there! Awesome!
ReplyDeleteYours sincerely,
Margaret Thatcher
