We went to the big duck ponds this weekend. The peeps haven't been here for nearly 10 years so having to pay for the carpark was a big of a shock, it used to be free. Shows how times change eh ?
Now stop moaning and lets go........
Gosh that water is so clear
Along the yellow brick road to...
Uh Oh, that very big Mr Duckie is heading my way
That was a close shave, need a sit down to recover from that, phew!
Come on, keep up, over here...
Look, they's very big ducks, called sailing boats apparently
I wasn't allowed off my lead much due to a duck chasing incident with a previous paws
Get the idea ?
Need my puppicino after that.
What !?!
Puppicino machine's broken I have to have tea.
Loves and licky kisses
Princess Leah xxx
Crikey Princess ...... NO duck chasing and NO puppicino ... AND you had to PAY to go there. Sure sounds like a crap day to me!!
ReplyDeletePrincess Leah ohhhh you did a good job keeping those ducks in a row. Mom told me ducks are a ok but sometimes geese and swans are kinda of ornery..so watch out for them!! Mom made some cranberry orange scones yesterday she and Dad will have them with their afternoon tea.
ReplyDeletehugs madi your bfff
No worries we have to stay on the leash too when we are near ponds for exactly that reason. Ruins all the fun. Have a marvellous Monday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
it's a great place, even when the carpark is no longer for free. do you know if the big sailing ducks are edible? I found a cool recipe for roasted ducks, but I'm afraid I need a bigger oven, huh?
ReplyDeleteWith all the drawbacks, it still looked like a purdy good day, huh?
ReplyDeleteGotta find sumplace else with free parkin an nun o' those big duck things to get yu!
well what fun is it if you can't chase the ducks - that i the whole joy of going to the park
ReplyDeleteAh we sure enjoyed coming along on this walk with you!!!

We think it is FINE that you kept your peeps on the Walkin String... They DO tend to Dawdle and Stray. You would not want one of yours to get FLOGGED by one of those BIG BIRDS... It was a LOVELY place fur a nice walk... Sorry you didn't get a Puppicino though.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful park and pond. Do you believe they charge monies to get in! The nerve
ReplyDeleteLily & Edward
We just love seeing the beautiful places you get to go!

I enjoy seeing your world. Thanks for the tours but it is a good thing to stay on your lead. I like tea the best.
ReplyDeleteBentley
Paying to park at the park is a crime!
ReplyDeleteDon't know they won't let me near any thing wiv Fevvers either Princess. Looks like you had a good time sniffin around though.
ReplyDeleteLuvs your auntie Freya Rose Blossom (miss)
er, is this walk on our agenda when we both go on our big walk about ?
LUVS X
Wow nice park you have there. I hope you got in some good barking at the ducks. Never had hot tea, here in the South we love our sweet ice tea.
ReplyDeleteAroo to you,
Sully
That duck pond is HUGE. And what crazy ducks! We would have been barking like mad at them. We saw off some kayakers who were using OUR river the other day. No one uses OUR stretch of the river, without our permission.
ReplyDeleteCan't believe the pupaccino machine wasn't working!
What a wonderful pond and with a yellow brick road that takes you straight to Oz. Oh Princess Leah I do love seeing you out and about your country. My Lee is a tea drinker yep she is having some Yorkshire Gold Tea from England as she is reading your post.
ReplyDeleteThanks for being a friend
Sweet William The Scot
Maybe sometime me and Stanley can go there with you. That is the kind of places we loves!
ReplyDeleteYour Pals,
Murphy & Stanley
Yikes - that looks like a mama swan and her kids. Better to steer clear, Leah!
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots♥
Mitch and Molly

ReplyDeleteSmileys!
Dory, Jakey, Arty & Bilbo
Even if you couldn't chase the ducks it looks like you had a fun time.
ReplyDeleteWe think that place looks like it was worth the payment for parking! Hope you can duck chase again soon.
ReplyDeleteLeah, we must admit we would be likely to put a chase to the ducks too:) But it looks like it was still a fun day.
ReplyDeleteWoos - Phantom, Ciara, and Lightning
No duck chasin? No fun.
ReplyDeleteThose ducks did look fun for the chasing, but I can see why your Peeps didn't want you to go in the water. Hope you enjoyed your tea :)
