After our walkies around the big duck ponds the peeps decided to stop off at the Crooked Chimney Pub.
What a strange name!
Oh, that's why, it's got a crooked chimney....well how was I supposed to see that from down here!
It's over two hundred years old !
We thought we'd stop for a pie and a pint
No, wait, it gets better.....we had a full Sunday roast, yeah !!!
Of course you must have a post Sunday dinner nap !
Wow, this was a great place, pups allowed, staff very friendly, we'll be coming back here again.
And best of all.........
They do a special line in stone, twig and leaf marinated water which all us pups know (and peeps don't understand) is the best water evers, beats those mineral stuffs Mum carries around for me.
Loves and licky kisses

My Uncle David is from the UK. Auntie Linda used to ask him for directions so she could take Angus for walkies around their new home in St. Ives. It seems every single set of directions ended up at one pub or other! They all had funny names too! May I send them a your photo of the crooked chimney pub? They would like it a lot. Oh, and rainwater does taste excellent, especially if it's been running down from the roof and over the rocks, leaves, and sticks! Melted snow is good too.
ReplyDeleteOh, please do send the photo, I hope they like it. If they google Crooked Chimney, Lemsford they'll get a better picture
