The Grotto

I luffs the Grotto at Chatters-A-Way
(nuffin to do wiv the picnic we have there honest!)

This is the way in…..

Couldn't you just sit and stare at that view all day?

But its just as interesting from the front…
See the little cave under it?
Its a room decorated with stalactites
and
lined with rare mineral thingys
Its too delicate fur us to go in,
we go in the wooden Band Stand on top

Can you see the lovely pond in front of it?

It was originally built by Keira Knightley Duchess Georgiana
in the late 1790s
Wow…so its over 87 years old!!!!

I do hope my peeps will take me back again next year

Please Dad, can we?

Loves and licky kisses

  7. That is so beautiful! Just out of curiosity, what did you have at your picnic? Not that I'd be in it for that ... just trying to show interest.

  11. I bet it's nice and cool inside that cave! When ghostwriter was in school, she belonged to a "Grotto Club." They went and explored caves. If you ask her if she would go inside one of those caves now, she says a resounding NO!!! I guess she was a lot more fearless when she was a teen.
