How wonderful! We saw our first butterfly of the season a couple days ago. It was just a little white cabbage butterfly fluttering around the daffodils. We wondered how it was doing since it was still pretty cold out that day.
ReplyDeleteHi Leah
ReplyDeleteThat is a lovely butterfly! I loves loves loves butterflies - in the yard - with me chasing them. We don't get too many (a sad indictment on our times) and usually white ones. Mommy says when she was young there were butterflies everywhere and a lot were Monarch and Yellow Swallowtail. We sometimes get a Swallowtail or two but never any Monarch.

BTP, I have "accidentally" eaten a butterfly. . . I spit it right out. Not tasty at all.
That is such a beautiful butterfly and, I hate to say this Princess (I know it's letting down the side, siding with the humans) but just this once I think your Dad was right not to let you too near.
ReplyDeleteToodle pip!
Bertie.
Wow - butterflies already??? We don't even have any flowers planted yet. And a very pretty one too!
ReplyDeleteWoos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber

ReplyDeleteIt is a gorgeous Buttie Pillar. We don't get very colourful buttie pillars here.....mostly moths....wool-eating moths or pantry moths.

ReplyDeleteWhew...that was a close one Princess Leah...just a bit higher next time and you may catch him!!
