A Special Flower on Friday

Today I am joining Dory for a Special Flower Friday

Let me show you our Orchid

Every Mothering Sunday,
previous paws Mia used to give Mum an Orchid

This is the last one....yes Mum is rubbish at keeping plants

But I do know the solution...

Mum was told by a man that nose his Orchids
(an expert they met on holiday in Malaya)

That the best thingy for Orchid is PEE!!!

Yep, its true and although both Dad and I have offered to help
for some reason Mum has refused

Now for the special part...

See, its the white one left and it has just flowered

One single beautiful white flower

This is for you Whitley
Our dear little Westie who went to the rainbow bridge yesterday
Please pop over and leave her Mom a special message

Going to miss you Whitley
Lots and lots of luffs and hugs to your Mom

Loves and licky kisses
Princess Leah

HAH! My father's solution to keeping orchids is to ignore them - he hopes they will throw up their roots and wither**, but instead they keep throwing up flowers and ...flourishing! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
**he is not a pot-plant man. They were mum's, so neither can he face just putting them out or giving them away...

  9. Leah,
That is a lovely orchid. My Mommy is terrible with plants, too. But my two Aunties who we live with are really good with plants - even orchids. We have quite a few growing here and there.
Have a great weekend and give your Mum a Mothering Day hug from me.

  30. Mara got an orchid once. But it's not doing too good. I don't say anything about it, because I don't think it's nice to do so. But I think she may be rubbish with orchids!

But your flower is beautiful and when I checked out Whitley's site, it was the perfect colour as well.
