The Grand Union Canal

The canal goes all the way from London to Birmingham,
but I just did the bit here...under the Golden Star...called
'You are here!'

You need one of these to drive along it

But that's okay...see...it says...

AND DOGS

It's a very popular place to go walkies
Lots of pee mails to catch up on...

I thought I was walking the plank
but turns out this is called a lock
(there's 166 of these, phew...too much like hard work!)

I'll just admire the scenery and chat to the locals

What's news Mr Big White Duck ?

Oh really..well, there was no need to be so rude

Mum, Mr Big White Duck hissed at me!!!

Loves and licky kisses

  1. Can't believe that big, white duck hissed at a Princess! BOL! We've heard about swans..... SHE has recently read some books about people who bought a barge and travelled along the canals, so SHE's jealous.

  7. I heard that all the swans in the UK belong to the queen. Is that true? You'd think he'd be more polite, especially to a princess!

  10. Oh My! Your canal is much prettier than ours that runs by our house. Ours it dusty with stickery plants on either side. How nice to have grass!

  21. It is a canal boat. I have been on one of those, only the one I was on was pulled by horses off to the side because the water was not deep. What fun.
    Thanks for being a friend
